A 35-year-old man who was fatally injured as a result of a stabbing in downtown Los Angeles was identified Monday.<\/p>\n
Officers responded the afternoon of Aug. 13 near Sixth Street and Maple Avenue to reports of a stabbing, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.<\/p>\n
The responding officers located a victim with stab wounds, who was taken to a hospital and later pronounced deceased.<\/p>\n
He was identified Monday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Andrew Holland, who sustained a stab wound to his upper body.<\/p>\n
Details about what led up to the stabbing were not available.<\/p>\n
There was no description of the suspect, who was later located and taken into custody. It was unclear what led police to identify the person as a suspect. It was also unclear if a weapon was recovered.<\/p>\n
