what LIV 2.0 will look like<\/a> and if it will even go ahead.<\/p>\nEnglishman Hatton, who has recently welcomed his first child into the family, says he was just eager to catch a flight, while LIV individual champion Rahm had similar thoughts of family time – and a much-needed trip to the hairdressers.<\/p>\n
“Yeah, well, I think anytime you win is great,” said Hatton, in response to the question of being subdued on the presentation stage.<\/p>\n
“As I said, we’ve been able to do that the last few years a number of times, and we’ve had a great time together doing it.<\/p>\n
“I just want to get to the airport because I have a flight to catch, so that would be great.”<\/p>\n
Hatton insisted it felt good to defend the LIV Golf team title, and has enjoyed the 2026 season on the team tour – despite it being filled with conjecture and struggle over the future.<\/p>\n
“Obviously we’ve traveled around the world together, had some pretty funny times along the way, and as a team we’ve done incredibly well,” Hatton added. “Winning last year was very special.<\/p>\n
“Obviously this time around it’s a little bit different, but it’s nice to defend the title anyway.”<\/p>\n

Rahm had a similar answer when questioned about his immediate future, with the Spaniard looking forward to some family time, and a haircut, before returning to action at the Irish Open.<\/p>\n
“I’m looking forward to going home and helping my very pregnant wife with the kids because it’s a 3-v-1 right now,” said Rahm.<\/p>\n
“It’s probably a 4-v-1 with the one that’s due in October. Happy to be dad for a few days before I get back for the Irish Open, but mainly looking forward to a haircut tomorrow morning at 10am because I need one badly.”<\/p>\n
Rahm says all the talk of LIV Golf’s future has not been affecting him on the course, despite talk of him still being owed millions on his contract.<\/p>\n
“Not really,” he said about LIV’s future weighing on his mind. “I think the same answer applies. There’s been a lot that’s surrounded all of us for pretty much since we joined.<\/p>\n
“At the end of the day, once we step on the golf course, it’s just golf. Everything else goes away, and we just compete.
