{"id":1023,"date":"2025-06-21T01:34:45","date_gmt":"2025-06-21T01:34:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1023\/"},"modified":"2025-06-21T01:34:45","modified_gmt":"2025-06-21T01:34:45","slug":"carlos-alcaraz-provides-fitness-update-after-reaching-the-semi-finals-at-queens-and-admits-things-could-be-better","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1023\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlos Alcaraz provides fitness update after reaching the semi-finals at Queen&#8217;s and admits things &#8216;could be better&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Carlos Alcaraz extended his unbeaten run with an impressive win over Arthur Rinderknech at Queen\u2019s.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s simply no stopping the Spaniard right now, as he books his place in the semi-finals of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/queens-club-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Queen\u2019s Club Championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/carlos-alcaraz-delivers-immediate-reaction-after-winning-his-longest-best-of-three-match-of-the-year-at-queens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz survived a true battle against Jaume Munar<\/a> in his second-round match, he made light work of Arthur Rinderknech in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2220969201-1-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos Alcaraz celebrates his win over Jaume Munar at Queen's in 2025\" class=\"wp-image-103658\" \/>Photo by Luke Walker\/Getty Images for LTA<\/p>\n<p>The Spaniard will now prepare to take on the winner of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/holger-rune\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holger Rune<\/a> and Roberto Bautista Agut\u2019s match in Saturday\u2019s semi-final.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking after his 7-5, 6-4 win over Rinderknech, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alcaraz<\/a> updated fans on his fitness levels heading into the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Carlos Alcaraz admits things \u2018could be better\u2019 but thought he would feel \u2018much worse\u2019 physically<\/p>\n<p>During his on-court interview, Alcaraz was asked how he is feeling physically, ahead of his semi-final match.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCould be better, honestly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel, honestly, I thought I was going to feel much worse than I feel right now. But we are tennis players, we are going to do whatever we have to do to recover to be in good shape for the next day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am glad today was one hour, 20 minutes, today was more grass, and hopefully tomorrow I am going to feel much better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The second set of Alcaraz\u2019s match with Munar (one hour, 40 minutes) was longer than his entire match today.<\/p>\n<p>Reflecting on the match itself, Alcaraz is confident he\u2019s improving day by day on the grass.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2221172625-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos Alcaraz looks on during his win over Arthur Rinderknech at Queen's\" class=\"wp-image-103890\" \/>Photo by Julian Finney\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am feeling much better than on the first day. That is what I am trying to do every day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust trying to feel better, moving, feeling the ball, just feeling great playing on grass.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am really happy to be able to play at a good level today.
