SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – Questions are emerging about the future of South Bend\u2019s Century Center and the art museum inside it. <\/p>\n
City and tourism leaders are weighing whether to renovate, redevelop or move the convention center as the nearly 50-year-old building ages.<\/p>\n
Our reporting partners at the South Bend Tribune<\/a> report the South Bend Museum of Art could learn Thursday, Aug. 27, whether the city will begin a three-year lease expiration process.<\/p>\n The Century Center opened in 1977 and has not had a major renovation since. Local tourism leaders are considering options including renovation, redevelopment or moving convention operations elsewhere.
