\n\tDisney\u2019s \u201cThe Fantastic Four: First Steps<\/a>\u201d claimed the top spot at the U.K. and Ireland box office with a strong debut of \u00a38.1 million ($10.8 million), according to Comscore. <\/p>\n

\n\tHolding firm at No. 2, Warner Bros.\u2019 \u201cSuperman<\/a>\u201d added $2.5 million in its third weekend, bringing its total to $28.7 million. Universal\u2019s animated sequel \u201cThe Bad Guys 2\u201d debuted in third place with $2.1 million.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJurassic World Rebirth<\/a>\u201d was pushed to fourth but held well, earning $2.1 million in its fourth weekend for a cumulative total of $38.5 million. Warner Bros.\u2019 racing drama \u201cF1\u201d rounded out the top five with $867,818, pushing its cume to $26.3 million after five weeks.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a notable jump, Yash Raj Films\u2019 Bollywood romantic drama \u201cSaiyaara<\/a>\u201d climbed from 10th to sixth place with $675,380, taking its total to $1.3 million. Paramount\u2019s \u201cSmurfs\u201d followed in seventh with $642,120 for a total of $3.7 million, while Sony\u2019s \u201cI Know What You Did Last Summer\u201d took $503,886 in its second week to reach $2.6 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s \u201cHow To Train Your Dragon\u201d was ninth, collecting $398,880 and lifting its total to $28.7 million. Sony\u2019s \u201c28 Years Later\u201d rounded out the top ten with $232,836, for a cume of $20.2 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe week ahead brings a wide-ranging mix of tentpoles, reissues, independent titles and international fare.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Wednesday July 30, Trafalgar Releasing unleashes \u201cBTS Army: Forever We Are Young,\u201d a fan-focused concert film tapping into the global K-pop phenomenon. The following day, Thursday July 31, Dreamz Entertainment launches Indian, Telugu-language action film \u201cKingdom,\u201d starring Vijay Deverakonda. <\/p>\n

\n\tFriday, Aug. 1 sees a flurry of openings. Among the widest releases is Paramount\u2019s \u201cThe Naked Gun\u201d reboot. Also on wide release is \u201cThe Legend of Ochi\u201d from Entertainment Film Distributors, a fantasy adventure starring Helena Zengel, Finn Wolfhard, Emily Watson and Willem Dafoe.<\/p>\n

\n\tModern Films brings \u201cOslo Stories Trilogy: Dreams,\u201d a Norwegian drama directed by Dag Johan Haugerud, which won three awards at the Berlinale earlier this year. Vertigo Releasing\u2019s SXSW title \u201c40 Acres\u201d and Berlinale selection \u201cLate Shift,\u201d Park Circus\u2019 2K restoration of Stephen Frears\u2019 \u201cMy Beautiful Laundrette,\u201d and Bulldog\u2019s documentary \u201cDogspiracy\u201d and Sundance winner \u201c2000 Meters to Andriivka\u201d round out the indie slate. <\/p>\n

\n\tAnimated fare includes \u201cSavages,\u201d a family-friendly tale from Claude Barras being distributed by MetFilm, and \u201cHeidi: Rescue of the Lynx,\u201d an adventure from Kaleidoscope Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tIndian releases also include Zee Studios\u2019 \u201cDhadak 2,\u201d which is a Bollywood remake of Tamil-language hit \u201cPariyerum Perumal,\u201d Dreamz Entertainment\u2019s animated mythological \u201cMahavatar Narsimha,\u201d Kannada-language \u201cSu From So\u201d and Moviegoers Entertainment\u2019s \u201cSon Of Sardaar 2,\u201d headlined by Ajay Devgn. <\/p>\n

\n\tSony Pictures previews the horror feature \u201cBring Her Back\u201d ahead of a wider rollout.
