{"id":1024697,"date":"2026-08-26T06:28:21","date_gmt":"2026-08-26T06:28:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1024697\/"},"modified":"2026-08-26T06:28:21","modified_gmt":"2026-08-26T06:28:21","slug":"county-attorney-details-allegations-against-2-fired-phoenix-officers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1024697\/","title":{"rendered":"County attorney details allegations against 2 fired Phoenix officers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Two fired Phoenix police officers face multiple felony charges after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2026\/08\/19\/phoenix-officers-accused-after-couple-reports-kidnapping-beating-robbery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2026\/08\/19\/phoenix-officers-accused-after-couple-reports-kidnapping-beating-robbery\/\">they allegedly used a patrol vehicle equipped with emergency lights to pull over a couple<\/a>, whom they then kidnapped and assaulted, according to Maricopa County court documents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Antonio Luis Felix and Luis Ricardo Vasquez Jr. were charged in a direct complaint filed Tuesday by the Maricopa County Attorney\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The charges stem from an Aug. 5 incident in which prosecutors say Felix and Vasquez used intermittent patrol vehicle lights to pull over a 2014 Dodge Charger. Prosecutors also allege the defendants rammed the victims\u2019 rear bumper with their vehicle during the stop.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">According to the complaint, the two men held a man and a woman against their will.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Vasquez is accused of holding the man at gunpoint during the encounter, causing damage to the car\u2019s driver\u2019s side window and hurting him when he was unable to fight back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Felix is accused of physically injuring the woman while she was unable to resist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Prosecutors also allege the defendants destroyed or concealed a cellphone to keep it from being used as evidence in subsequent official proceedings.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Felix and Vasquez face several charges, including:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li>Two counts of kidnapping (Class 2 felonies)<\/li>\n<li>Aggravated assault (Class 3 dangerous felony for Vasquez; Class 6 felony for both)<\/li>\n<li>Aggravated assault on an impaired victim (Class 6 felony for Felix)<\/li>\n<li>Tampering with physical evidence (Class 6 felony)<\/li>\n<li>Conspiracy to commit hindering prosecution (Class 5 felony)<\/li>\n<li>Threatening or intimidating (Class 1 misdemeanor)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The motive for the attack remains unknown.
