As of Tuesday morning, August 25, Tu Asador hasn&#8217;t publicly acknowledged the closing of its second location, but the business confirmed the closure in a direct message exchange with MySA.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We truly enjoyed our time serving guests at our Encino Rio location. It was a rewarding experience in many ways. Given the challenging economy and the unique demands of that location, we made the difficult decision to close,&#8221; the business wrote in a direct message. &#8220;We\u2019re deeply grateful to our team and guests for their support, and we\u2019re focusing our energy on our well established \u00a0Castle Hills location, where our roots run deep.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Tu Asador was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, when a group of siblings in the service industry banded together to sell asada dishes from a ghost kitchen. The concept moved into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/food\/restaurants\/article\/san-antonio-tu-asador-carne-asada-byob-16239438.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">its current home in Castle Hills<\/a> in 2021 and later expanded to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/food\/article\/tu-asador-second-location-19656271.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">a second location in 2024<\/a>.
