Former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saturdaydownsouth.com\/college-football\/teams\/florida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Florida<\/a> head coach Jim McElwain, then the head coach at CMU, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saturdaydownsouth.com\/news\/college-football\/jim-mcelwain-comments-on-photo-appearing-to-show-connor-stalions-on-central-michigan-sideline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">addressed the matter but said the program<\/a> was \u201ctotally unaware\u201d of Stalions\u2019 presence at the game.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saturdaydownsouth.com\/news\/college-football\/michigan-to-suspend-sherrone-moore-multiple-games-due-to-sign-stealing-scandal-per-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Tony Garcia with the Detroit Free Press<\/a>, that incident has resulted in CMU receiving an NOA on the matter. According to documents obtained by Garcia, the NOA was sent to CMU on June 27, and the program now has a 90-day window to respond to the allegations.<\/p>\n<p>The investigation was originally launched in October of 2023, meaning it took roughly 21 months to reach this point in the process.
