The Israeli military said it struck a \u201cmilitary operative,\u201d without elaborating.<\/p>\n<p>Palestinians in the strip have reported a <a class=\"Link AnClick-LinkEnhancement\" data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/gaza-israel-war-hamas-strikes-palestinians-39f50725df3fc132adabef2a8cbec9c5\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">surge in deadly Israeli strikes<\/a> despite a fragile ceasefire in the nearly three-year Israel-Hamas war. Israel has said it targets Hamas and other militants who pose a threat, as well as those who participated in the Oct. 7, 2023, attack that triggered the war. <\/p>\n<p>Netanyahu boasts continued Israeli expansion into West Bank<\/p>\n<p>Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his government has legalized more than 104 settlements and established 160 farming outposts in the West Bank since he took office in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know that we are not only ensuring our existence in the present, we are ensuring the existence of the people of Israel in the future,\u201d he said at an event in Jerusalem Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>Israeli settlements in the West Bank are largely considered illegal and an obstacle to peace.
