Some buses will operate every 15 minutes from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week. Others will run every 30 minutes with expanded weekend schedules.<\/p>\n
Phase 1 of what SEPTA calls its New Bus Network includes seven discontinued routes, two new ones, 13 route changes, and several route extensions. Phases 2 and 3 are slated to begin in February and June of 2027.<\/p>\n
Action News 6abc reported that rider sentiment about the changes is mixed.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“I think they’re listening to the people and listening to what works and doesn’t work, and I just think it’s a great benefit,” said passenger Tosha Hays-Jones.<\/p>\n
“I think the new bus route is ridiculous,” rider Aaliyah Ferguson commented to 6abc. “Half the time, the buses break down, the train breaks down, and then the buses don’t be having air. They want us to pay the money for the bus, and then ya’ll taking buses we really need.”<\/p>\n
