\n\tJames Gunn<\/a> is sharing an update on the\u00a0Superman<\/a>\u00a0sequel,\u00a0Man of Tomorrow<\/a>,\u00a0as he marks the final day of principal photography.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe DC Studios film, which is set for release on July 9, 2027, will have David Corenswet reprise his role as Clark Kent after this summer\u2019s Supergirl.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s a wrap on principal photography for Man of Tomorrow,\u201d Gunn shared on Threads<\/a>. \u201cTruly a joyful experience, and I have immense gratitude to my cast and crew.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first photo Gunn shared had Nicholas Hoult, who plays Lex Luthor in the DCU, swimming with the filmmaker, saying he \u201cjumped in the lake after [the] last shot.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe brain trust (except Brian) around video village during the whole shoot. They make making movies fun,\u201d Gunn wrote about the second picture<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tMan of Tomorrow will also feature Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, and Adria Arjona as Maxima. <\/p>\n

\n\tAaron Pierre, who plays John Stewart in HBO\u2019s Lanterns, will jump to the big screen in the Superman sequel. Also returning to reprise his Blue Beetle role is Xolo Maridue\u00f1a, who will play the superhero once again<\/a> since the 2023 film, directed by \u00c1ngel Manuel Soto.<\/p>\n

\n\tGunn recently debunked rumors around the DCU<\/a> amid the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnswering a fan query on Threads<\/a> about the current status of DCU development projects, Gunn said, \u201cNothing is on hold.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAnother fan posted a screenshot that claimed director Andy Muschietti said work on the Batman film based on The Brave and the Bold was on hold amid the merger.<\/p>\n
