(KTLA)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The chase came to a crawl on the 5 Freeway after it appeared that the vehicle&#8217;s front passenger tire was damaged, later continuing onto surface streets at similarly slow speeds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">It did not appear that there was anyone else in the vehicle with the driver, who had the window down and appeared to be smoking cigarettes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police officials were talking about bringing in LAPD&#8217;s Metro Division, possibly SWAT, approximately 90 minutes into the slow-speed chase.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Sky5 was overhead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
