Srivastava, medical director, catheterization lab and structural heart program. \u201cCaring for our community is a privilege, and this new Heart &amp; Vascular Hospital means we can keep meeting their needs with the latest diagnostics and therapies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"4\">We are told the new facility will be located in front of the existing Heart Center off Serpentine Drive.<\/p>\n<p><img src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/3df6cde9-471f-4450-9a86-bda6ebf47431.png\" alt=\"Image no longer available\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" draggable=\"true\" class=\"css-fphibt\"\/><img src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/3df6cde9-471f-4450-9a86-bda6ebf47431.png\" alt=\"Image no longer available\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"css-hr9vxw\"\/><\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"6\">Officials said the heart and vascular hospital is part of a major infrastructure investment that includes construction of a new interior entrance road, additional parking areas, and a new power plant for the Spartanburg medical campus.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"7\">Construction is being done in phases, and the hospital is expected to open in 2030.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"9\">The $325-million expansion includes: <\/p>\n<ul data-node-id=\"10\">\n<li>104 new beds: 90 acute-care beds and 14 coronary care unit beds <\/li>\n<li>24 catheterization lab pre-procedure and post-recovery beds <\/li>\n<li>Additional diagnostic testing and procedural space<\/li>\n<li>Renovation and expansion creating a new state-of-the-art CVRU (Cardiovascular Recovery Unit)<\/li>\n<li>Space for Structural Heart Program expansion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-node-id=\"11\">&#8220;The new hospital gives us the space and technology to diagnose and treat more patients, and provide comprehensive care in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery to the community,&#8221; said Dr. Jason Rousseau, medical director, cardiothoracic surgery.<\/p>\n<p data-node-id=\"13\">Funding for the expansion project was approved by Spartanburg County Council and the Spartanburg Regional Health Services District, Inc.
