Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban<\/strong> said generic medicines are already competitively priced in the U.S., while pharmacy benefit managers are making it harder for consumers to access cheaper brand-name drugs. <\/p>\n Cuban Targets PBMs<\/strong> <\/p>\n On Tuesday, Cuban made the comments in a post on X<\/strong> while discussing prescription drug prices. <\/p>\n “Actually, our prices on generics are lower than most of the world,” Cuban said. <\/p>\n He added, “We get requests to buy from everywhere.” <\/p>\n He said his company does not sell many brand-name medicines because Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) “won’t allow manufacturers to sell to us.” <\/p>\n Don’t Miss:<\/strong> <\/p>\n Cuban argued that his company could potentially offer some brand-name drugs at significantly lower prices if manufacturers were able to sell them through his platform. <\/p>\n “For many of those brand meds, if we could sell at our 15% markup, we would be at or near their pricing and in some cases lower,” he said. <\/p>\n Cuban then criticized the role of large healthcare companies and PBMs in determining drug prices. <\/p>\n “As long as we let the big conglomerates and their PBMs set pricing, we will always pay more,” Cuban said. <\/p>\n He added, “They are Too Big To Care!” <\/p>\n Actually, our prices on generics are lower than most of the world.
