Carlos Alcaraz is in pursuit of a three-peat this year at Wimbledon, where he\u2019ll enter as the heavy favourite.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having secured back-to-back titles at the All England Club in 2023 and 2024, Alcaraz<\/a> is bidding to become the fifth man in the Open Era to win the tournament three times in a row. <\/p>\n

Should he emerge victorious, he\u2019ll join Bjorn Borg, Pete Sampras<\/a>, Roger Federer<\/a> and Novak Djokovic<\/a> as the only players to have ever completed the feat. <\/p>\n

Following Alcaraz\u2019s triumph at Queen\u2019s<\/a>, the Spaniard is on an 18-match winning streak, which began at the Italian Open in May. <\/p>\n

Former US Open champion Andy Roddick<\/a> offered his prediction on whether or not the world number two will extend the streak to 25, which he\u2019ll need to do to hold the trophy aloft for a third time at Wimbledon<\/a>. <\/p>\n

When asked on the Tennis Channel Live Podcast if Alcaraz will go all the way in SW19 this year, Roddick answered: \u201cI think so, I wouldn\u2019t bet against it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, listen, anything can happen. Sinner is going to re-enter the conversation; let\u2019s not forget about him, he\u2019s still really good.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s number one in the world. He\u2019s been the best player in the world for the last\u2026 however long, especially on hard-court.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s not get carried away with these results, but Carlos was the favourite at Wimbledon before Queen\u2019s, and he\u2019s the favourite after Queen\u2019s as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think anyone would argue against that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Carlos Alcaraz\u2019s ongoing 12-match winning streak on grass <\/p>\n

As well as being on an 18-match winning streak on all surfaces, Alcaraz hasn\u2019t lost on grass since Queen\u2019s in 2024, when Jack Draper<\/a> defeated him in straight sets. <\/p>\n

After that, he won seven straight matches to win Wimbledon that year, earning wins over top 15 players Tommy Paul<\/a>, Daniil Medvedev<\/a>, and Djokovic en route to the title. <\/p>\n

At Queen\u2019s this year, he picked up five more wins, including victories against compatriot Roberto Bautista Agut and Czech star Jiri Lehecka<\/a>. <\/p>\n
