Time is highly flexible, or seemingly so, in the “Star Trek” universe, as any fan of the Gene Roddenberry-created phenomenon well knows.<\/p>\n
A Starfleet officer may be at the helm of a galaxy-exploring ship one moment and then on a distant planet, sometime in the future or past, a nanosecond later.<\/p>\n
But here on Planet Earth, the progression of hours, minutes, months, and years stays rather orderly, which means this: If you’d like to take part in a celebration paying tribute to the 60th anniversary<\/a> of the pop culture phenomenon, you will definitely have to buy tickets for very specific dates, times, and locations.<\/p>\n Prepare to beam up at the Alex Theatre<\/a> in Glendale over the first weekend of September, thanks to a line-up of four “Star Trek” films<\/a> paired with a quartet of classic episodes<\/a> from the original series.<\/p>\n “Star Trek: The Motion Picture” leads off the series on Sept. 4, along with a screening of “The Changeling,” an episode from Season 2.<\/p>\n “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” is the Sept. 5 film, and few fans will be surprised to learn that “Space Seed” is the classic episode set to accompany it (that is, of course, when the iconic Khan makes his unforgettable first appearance).<\/p>\n The Sept. 6 flick is “Star Trek III: The Search for Spock,” and “Amok Time” will play as well.<\/p>\n And on Labor Day Monday, the 7th of September? “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” sets us up for a whale-y good time, along with a showing of “The City on the Edge of Forever.”<\/p>\n A festival pass is $54, if you plan on spending the entire weekend at the Alex, but there are single tickets, too.<\/p>\n Plenty of revelers sporting Starfleet-style splendor and galactic get-ups will be in attendance, we imagine, as well as the occasional Klingon and Vulcan. <\/p>\n As far as bringing your pet Ceti eel to the theater?
