CLAY COUNTY, Fla. <\/strong> \u2013 The Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office alerted the community about increased law enforcement activity near 410 Blanding Blvd in Orange Park Friday night. <\/p>\n

CCSO told News4JAX that a disturbance involving a possible firearm led to the evacuation of the Publix supermarket around 8 p.m. <\/p>\n

No injuries were reported. <\/p>\n

Crime scene technicians remained on the scene around 10 p.m., but the sheriff\u2019s office had not shared any updates about the incident. The store remained closed throughout the night.<\/p>\n

According to the Sheriff\u2019s Office, there was no threat to the public.<\/p>\n

Clay County Sheriff’s Office responds to disturbance at Publix in Orange Park (WJXT)<\/p>\n

Residents were asked to avoid the immediate area if possible and to follow directions given by law enforcement personnel. <\/p>\n

The Sheriff\u2019s Office says additional information will be released when appropriate.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office at (904) 264-6512 or submit a SaferWatch tip. Those reporting an emergency should call 911.<\/p>\n
