{"id":1031448,"date":"2026-08-29T18:20:17","date_gmt":"2026-08-29T18:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1031448\/"},"modified":"2026-08-29T18:20:17","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T18:20:17","slug":"gal-gadot-not-to-return-as-wonder-woman-wishes-next-actress-best","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1031448\/","title":{"rendered":"Gal Gadot not to return as Wonder Woman, wishes next actress best"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">Gal Gadot appears to be done with her role as DC hero Wonder Woman, telling ScreenRant in an interview published Thursday that she hadn&#8217;t had any discussions with either director James Gunn or DC Studios about returning, and giving a message to the next Wonder Woman.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is such an incredible character that so many of us care about so much, so whoever it&#8217;s going to be to portray her, I wish for her that she enjoys this amazing ride with this amazing character,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/culture\/article-905331\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gadot<\/a>, the Israeli <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/diaspora\/antisemitism\/article-897716\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">actress<\/a> who first debuted as Diana Prince in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, before appearing in her solo Wonder Woman movie in 2017, said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">&#8220;I&#8217;m just grateful that I was granted the opportunity to wear her boots and celebrate this incredible character and everything she stands for,&#8221; Gadot added.<\/p>\n<p>In total, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/israel-news\/culture\/article-903108\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gadot<\/a> appeared as Wonder Woman in six films, with her last appearances being cameos in Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash three years ago.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-paragraph-section article-body-paragraph\">While a third Wonder Woman movie starring Gal Gadot was greenlit in 2020, in 2022, the DC Universe began a reset led by Gunn and Peter Safran, and the third Wonder Woman movie did not fit the new plan.<\/p>\n<p>It was canceled, along with other projects, as part of the old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/omg\/article-875126\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">DC<\/a> canon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The new DC canon, which began with 2024&#8217;s Creature Commandos, left behind multiple familiar castings.
