CHICAGO (WLS) — Two men were injured, one critically, in a South Side shooting on Saturday morning, Chicago police said.<\/p>\n

Police said the shooting happened in the South Shore neighborhood’s 7100-block of South Jeffery Boulevard.<\/p>\n

A 23-year-old man who had been shot self-transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition around 11:20 a.m.<\/p>\n

Another man, 73, was found on the scene with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. He was taken to the same hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.<\/p>\n

What led up to the shooting was not immediately clear.<\/p>\n

Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.<\/p>\n
