Big Apple baseball superfans made a mad dash between boroughs Saturday and took in three Major League games in just nine hours thanks to a unique Yankees-Mets scheduling quirk.<\/p>\n
The unusual situation saw the Yanks hosting a day-night doubleheader against the Boston Red Sox in the Bronx with a Mets showdown with the Houston Astros in Queens sandwiched perfectly in between with ample time for a boomerang back-and-forth between boroughs. <\/p>\n
Brooklyn resident and Mets diehard Dana Nauta said she and her friend Carly Henry were \u201cpumped\u201d when the chance to see all three games came about.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cShe [Carly] texted me first thing in the morning and she was like, \u2018It\u2019s like Christmas morning.\u2019 And the night before, I was so excited,\u201d Nauta told The Post.<\/p>\n
Rushing between the two boroughs on the subway was a tall task for the Brooklynite and her Garden State pal, who said that the two agreed logistically catching them all \u201cwould maybe be a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n
The first Yankees game would start at 1 p.m., with the first pitch in Queens set for 4 p.m. The final game would start at 7 p.m. back in the Bronx leaving little room for extra innings, subway delays or other gameday chaos.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe kind of negotiated that we would be OK leaving early. We would make game time decisions on what to prioritize based on how the games were going and how the team seasons were going,\u201d Nauta said.<\/p>\n

To keep track of the parts of the games they missed, Nauta and Henry would watch them from their phones while in transit.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The duo were not alone in pulling off the attempt to witness all three games, with some documenting the scramble on their social media profiles.<\/p>\n
