Besides, as the most experienced driver at Joe Gibbs Racing, Hamlin naturally assumes the role of mentor for the other three drivers. He leads by example, encourages them to ask questions, and believes that Christopher Bell stands out as the most exceptional among the lot.<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\" id=\"article-content-block-2\" class=\"data-event\">During his appearance on NASCAR\u2019s The Day After\u00a0after his Dover win, <a href=\"https:\/\/thesportsrush.com\/tag\/denny-hamlin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-utm_source=\"article\" data-utm_medium=\"content\" data-utm_campaign=\"link\">Hamlin<\/a> explained how he often challenges Bell, Chase Briscoe, and Ty Gibbs with questions designed to spark deeper thinking. He elaborated, saying that once they respond, he pushes further with follow-up questions to stir additional insights, helping them develop sharper feedback for their teams.<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\" id=\"article-content-block-3\" class=\"data-event\">Speaking to host Shannon Spake, Hamlin singled out Bell for praise, saying, \u201cChristopher Bell, I think, is one of the most receptive to information and asking a lot of questions. So, I mean, that\u2019s what makes him so good. <\/p>\n<p data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\" id=\"article-content-block-4\" class=\"data-event\">\u201cIn my mind, I consider him one of the top three or four drivers in our series. But yet he\u2019s still asking questions from one of his teammates on how he can get better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\" id=\"article-content-block-5\" class=\"data-event\">Hamlin <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/5aMa2Nu7-dw?t=250\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-utm_source=\"article\" data-utm_medium=\"content\" data-utm_campaign=\"link\">added<\/a>, \u201cSo, I think that\u2019s where you\u2019re really going to have some special talent coming down the line. When you got someone that\u2019s talented and that\u2019s willing to work that hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\" id=\"article-content-block-6\" class=\"data-event\">Bell has already won three races this season, and that too in consecutive weeks within the first four weeks of the regular season. Out of 22 starts so far, he has secured eight top-five finishes and 13 top-10s, currently sitting fifth in the driver standings with 664 points, trailing leader Chase Elliott by 62.<\/p>\n<p data-type=\"content\" data-variant=\"p\" id=\"article-content-block-7\" class=\"data-event\">Over his six-year NASCAR career, Bell has consistently been a contender, finishing in the top five for the past three seasons.
