\n\tLove Overboard has sunk.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe dating reality series executive produced by Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper<\/a> has been canceled at Hulu<\/a> after one season, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.<\/p>\n \n\tThe series, which premiered March 26, was Cooper\u2019s first step into unscripted television. However, Love Overboard did not garner the same level of attention as some of Hulu\u2019s other unscripted originals, including The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, The Kardashians and Vanderpump Villa.<\/p>\n \n\tHosted by former The Bachelorette co-lead<\/a> and The Traitors season three winner Gabby Windey<\/a>, Love Overboard followed 22 contestants competing for love while also navigating challenges to gain access to the yacht\u2019s amenities.<\/p>\n \n\tHulu\u2019s official synopsis reads: \u201cGet ready to hit the high seas with Love Overboard! Step aboard the ultimate luxury yacht, where sexy singles are ready to mix and mingle \u2026 and find love. But there\u2019s a twist \u2026 gaining access to the yacht\u2019s extravagant amenities won\u2019t be so simple. As the journey unfolds, romance ignites; alliances form; and hearts are shattered. In the end, only one couple will reign supreme. Who will rise to the top, and who will be left stranded?\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tLove Overboard was produced by Cooper\u2019s Unwell Productions and Jeff Jenkins Productions in association with 3BMG and Walt Disney Television Alternative. Matt Kaplan, Cooper\u2019s husband and business partner, also executive produced as well as Mina Lefevre at Unwell Productions; Jeff Jenkins, Russell Jay-Staglik and Jason Ehrlich at Jeff Jenkins Productions; and Ross Weintraub and Reinout Oerlemans at 3BMG.<\/p>\n \n\tDespite the cancellation, Cooper continues to expand Unwell\u2019s programming. The company launched Unwell Winter Games on YouTube earlier this year and will debut Unwell Summer Games<\/a> on Sept. 7. She also has a scripted series, You Deserve to Know, in the works at Hulu starring Vampire Diaries leads Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley.<\/p>\n \n\tThe company\u2019s expansion comes amid scrutiny over its workplace culture. A June Vanity Fair investigation<\/a> detailed allegations from current and former employees who described a toxic work environment at Unwell<\/a>.
