The news outlet noted that Jake was wearing what appears to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/wedding-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_wedding-2_1\" data-tag=\"wedding-2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">wedding<\/a> band when he gave an interview to Los Angeles\u2019 KABC earlier this month about the brutal murder of his parents on Dec. 14, 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tJake\u2019s brother, Nick, has been\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/news\/general-news\/nick-reiner-indicted-killings-parents-rob-michele-reiner-1236672360\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">charged with and pleaded not guilty to murdering his parents<\/a>. He is currently in jail awaiting trial for the double murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cNobody really understands what it\u2019s like to go through something like that until you\u2019re living it,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/-\" target=\"_blank\">Jake told KABC<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s been eight months. It feels like eight years at the same time. And it also feels like eight minutes. Because every moment that I wake up, I\u2019m reminded of my reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tJake did not discuss Nick much during that interview apart from saying: \u201c[Nick]\u2019s in jail. It\u2019s like, I physically lost my parents, and then Nick was arrested. Now it\u2019s just me and [my sister], Romy, and we have to navigate this by ourselves essentially.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn a Substack <a href=\"https:\/\/jakereiner.substack.com\/p\/mom-and-dad\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">post<\/a> in April, Jake noted the grief he felt at knowing his parents wouldn\u2019t be there for his wedding day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cI was robbed of so many things that day\u201d that Rob and Michele were killed, he wrote. \u201cMy parents won\u2019t be at my wedding, they won\u2019t get to hold their future grandchild, and they won\u2019t get to see me have the successful career I\u2019m still seeking. It simultaneously breaks my heart and enrages me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIt\u2019s not clear how long Jake and his new bride were together before they wed.
