After weeks of sweltering heat, the Chicago area will finally see a drop in temperatures this week \u2013 but not without showers and possible thunderstorms, the NBC 5 Storm Team said.<\/p>\n
A cluster of thunderstorms will work their way toward Chicago Wednesday, but the city is sitting in the \u201cfringe of the marginal risk\u201d based on radar and satellite predictions, the NBC 5 Meteorologist Brant Miller said.<\/p>\n
Tuesday\u2019s weather was \u201cthe last hurrah at least for this experience of heat,\u201d Miller said.<\/p>\n
Anyone looking to relish in the cooler temps should stay out of the lake as a beach hazard warning will be in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Friday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s a look at what weather to expect over the next few days:<\/p>\n
Wednesday<\/strong><\/p>\n Wednesday morning has a chance of showers and thunderstorms, but the morning commute likely won\u2019t be impacted, Miller said.<\/p>\n A steady temperature around 76 degrees is anticipated, according to NWS.
