\n\tThe Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is replacing Dolly Parton<\/a>\u2019s Hollywood Walk of Fame<\/a> star after it was vandalized a week after her death<\/a> at age 80.<\/p>\n

\n\tPhotos and videos shared on social media Monday showed the legendary singer and actress\u2019 star with dark markings across her name. One fan shared on Threads<\/a> that she and her daughter went to lay flowers on Parton\u2019s star to pay tribute to the icon, but that \u201csomebody decided to do this about 10 minutes before we got here,\u201d referring to the vandalism.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen we arrived a custodian was cleaning and told us a woman kicked candles around then with the shards of one scratched the star,\u201d the fan added in her caption. \u201cThen a man came and stole the flowers that were there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAna Martinez, a spokesperson for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, told TMZ<\/a> that repairs were already scheduled for Tuesday due to previous cracks in Parton\u2019s star. However, she said fans reported Monday night that it was vandalized.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Historic Trust, which maintains and repairs the stars, also wrote<\/a> on Instagram that it\u2019s \u201cproud to honor the legacy of Dolly Parton with a replacement of her star. The new star will be available for viewing this Friday.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Hollywood Reporter also reached out to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for comment.<\/p>\n

\n\tParton, known as the queen of country music, received her star on the Walk of Fame in 1984. It\u2019s located at 6712 Hollywood Blvd.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cJolene\u201d singer died peacefully\u00a0in Nashville on Tuesday\u00a0after a \u201cbrief battle with cancer,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0her reps previously announced. \u201cOur beloved\u00a0Dolly Parton\u00a0spent her life and career bringing joy, laughter, hope and integrity into everything she touched. Her unmatched generosity reached the lives of countless people whom she would never meet, yet she was always there to offer a helping hand,\u201d her team wrote in a statement.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing her death, tributes poured in<\/a> from former co-stars, fellow musicians and longtime friends, including Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Jane Fonda, Celine Dion, Beyonc\u00e9, Reba McEntire, Kevin Costner and many others.<\/p>\n
