Philon took on everyone from seasoned veterans to a seven-year-old in a <a class=\"relative z-1 text-blue-mid hover:shadow-lightmode\" data-link-type=\"article-body\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/topic\/jaylen-brown\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jaylen Brown<\/a> jersey. But it takes time to beat 100 fans. Philon spent over four hours in the truck.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">It was one of Philon\u2019s first opportunities to get out in the community and meet fans since the Sixers selected him at No. 22 overall in June\u2019s NBA draft. He has spent time at the Sixers\u2019 facility this summer, but he\u2019s finally getting out and seeing more of the city as the season nears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">\u201cIt\u2019s been good just to see all the things happen, but even before that, me being drafted to a team that I feel like is a really good contender, and then just adding on all the other stuff that\u2019s been coming with it, I feel like it was meant to happen, really,\u201d Philon said. \u201cI\u2019m blessed that I\u2019m in the situation that I am, to play with one of the best teams probably in the NBA right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">He hasn\u2019t matched up against any of his new teammates in 2K yet, but it was a \u201csurreal\u201d moment to see himself in the game for the first time when he fired it up on Monday to practice. <\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">Ahead of his rookie season, Philon earned a 71 overall, with his highest skill score an 82 for playmaking. NBA 2K27 releases globally on Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"inq-p text-primary  \">\u201cMost people don\u2019t feel like it\u2019s fair, but I feel like it\u2019s fair,\u201d Philon said. \u201cJust because you\u2019re a rookie. You\u2019ve got to climb your way up.
