{"id":1038050,"date":"2026-09-02T03:12:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T03:12:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1038050\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T03:12:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T03:12:16","slug":"chicago-marathon-adds-new-hydration-gear-refill-stations-nbc-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1038050\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicago Marathon adds new hydration gear refill stations \u2013 NBC Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With just over six weeks left before the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcchicago.com\/tag\/chicago-marathon\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">2026 Bank of America Chicago Marathon<\/a>, race organizers announced on Tuesday that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcchicago.com\/news\/sports\/chicago-marathon\/2026-chicago-marathon-elite-lineup-one-of-the-deepest-fields-in-race-history\/3965200\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">runners <\/a>will have the option to refill their hydration gear at water stations throughout the course for the first time this year.<\/p>\n<p>Four refill stations, provided in partnership with water services business Culligan International, will be located along the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcchicago.com\/news\/local\/how-do-runners-secure-spots-in-the-2026-bank-of-america-chicago-marathon\/3955341\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">26.2-mile course<\/a> to help reduce plastic waste while keeping participants hydrated.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s where participants can find the refill stations:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Aid Station 4 (Mile 5.7)<\/li>\n<li>Aid Station 7 (Mile 10.1)<\/li>\n<li>Aid Station 12 (Mile 15.7)<\/li>\n<li>Aid Station 16 (Mile 20.3)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chicago is the first Abbott World Marathon Major to officially offer personal hydration refills on the course, officials said.
