{"id":1038654,"date":"2026-09-02T10:24:16","date_gmt":"2026-09-02T10:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1038654\/"},"modified":"2026-09-02T10:24:16","modified_gmt":"2026-09-02T10:24:16","slug":"dallas-weather-edouard-could-bring-rain-wednesday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1038654\/","title":{"rendered":"Dallas weather: Edouard could bring rain Wednesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dallas-Fort Worth could see its first day of measurable rain this week after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/article\/north-texas-rain-free-streak-ranks-top-10-longest-22410767.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dry streak<\/a> that has lasted more than 47 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/weather\/article\/tropical-storm-edouard-makes-landfall-22413082.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tropical Storm Edouard<\/a> made landfall Tuesday afternoon near the Texas-Louisiana border, tracking northwest up Interstate 45 and heading toward North Texas. Shortly after making landfall, the storm was downgraded to a tropical depression but was still packing strong wind gusts and the potential to dump several inches of rain as it moved northward.<\/p>\n<p>Forecasters with the weather service said there is a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday after 1 p.m. Dallas-Fort Worth will see its\u00a0highest chance of rain due to the tropical system Wednesday night into Thursday, according to the weather service.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday\u2019s high will dip below triple digits to 97 degrees, with a low of 79. Due to the increased moisture from the Gulf, the heat index is forecast near 104 degrees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>North Texans can also expect to see widespread clouds Wednesday, increasing throughout the afternoon into early Thursday.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The break from the triple-digit heat is not expected to last for long though, as 100-degree days are set to return for the upcoming Labor Day weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>WEDNESDAY<\/strong>: Partly to mostly sunny with a 20% chance for a couple showers or a thunderstorm.
