The athlete reflected on his and Taylor Swift\u2019s New York City wedding<\/a> on Wednesday\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d episode<\/a>, explaining why Madison Square Garden was the perfect venue<\/a> for the \u201cmagical\u201d nuptials.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you [to] everyone at MSG that allowed us to do this,\u201d the NFL star, 36, said while chatting with brother and co-host Jason Kelce. \u201cWe wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions.\u201d<\/p>\n Travis Kelce made a rare comment on his and Taylor Swift\u2019s wedding on his \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast Wednesday. newheightshow\/Instagram<\/p>\n The athlete explained why Madison Square Garden was the perfect venue for the New York City wedding on July 3. And MSG went above and beyond to give us that.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t thank everybody enough that showed up, but also that helped put the show on, and it was a very magical, magical night.\u201d<\/p>\n The arena, notably, was transformed into a garden<\/a> for the July 3 ceremony, one month after Page Six broke the news of the wedding location.<\/p>\n The tight end said Wednesday that he wished the star-studded event<\/a> \u2014 which was \u201cso much fun\u201d \u2014 \u201ccould\u2019ve lasted even longer than it did [because] it felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions,\u201d the NFL player told podcast listeners. newheightshow\/Instagram<\/p>\n The Kansas City Chiefs tight end (pictured above on March 26) added, \u201cWe needed it to be a private feel. Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, you know, from the vows to just seeing everyone to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening.\u201d<\/p>\n He specifically shouted out Adam Sandler for being the \u201cf\u2013king best person\u201d and getting ordained in New York to officiate the wedding<\/a>.<\/p>\n The groom, who pointed out he is \u201cover a month out\u201d from tying the knot<\/a>, has enjoyed \u201chearing \u2026 everybody\u2019s stories<\/a> of the night.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cCatching Kelce\u201d alum initially broke his silence on the \u201ccrazy\u201d wedding<\/a> at his team\u2019s training camp in July.<\/p>\n He dubbed his wedding to Swift (pictured above in September 2024) a \u201cmagical\u201d night.
