Arizona Musicfest and the Herberger Theater Center will team up to present \u201cMan of La Mancha\u201d for four performances Oct. 23-25 at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe St., in downtown Phoenix. Shows are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23; 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25.<\/p>\n
Written by Dale Wasserman, with music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion, the musical is inspired by Miguel de Cervantes\u2019 Don Quixote and follows its central character\u2019s pursuit of honor, hope and an impossible dream. The original Broadway production won the 1966 Tony Award for best musical, while its score includes \u201cThe Impossible Dream (The Quest),\u201d \u201cDulcinea\u201d and \u201cI, Don Quixote.\u201d<\/p>\n
