JACKSONVILLE, Fla.<\/strong> \u2013 A man was arrested and accused Wednesday of fatally shooting another man back in October 2025, the Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

JSO said on Oct. 1, 2025, officers responded to a local hospital after a man identified as Javaris Perkins, 24, was dropped off with a gunshot wound to his chest. He later died at the hospital.<\/p>\n

The accused shooter, Jamari Wyche, 20, was arrested in an unrelated armed robbery case less than two weeks after Perkins died, JSO said.<\/p>\n

Wyche is already in the Duval County Jail and now faces a murder charge.<\/p>\n
