She was 33. <\/p>\n<p>The actor\u2019s manager confirmed her death on social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery,\u201d her manager, Carla Alexander, <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/photo?fbid=28323174113942925&amp;set=pcb.28323174300609573\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cCarla joined the Alexanders Talent Management family at the age of 12. For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Bree in Disney\u2019s hit Zombies franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world. Carla was more than a client; she was family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur hearts are with Carla\u2019s family and loved ones during this devastating time. We respectfully ask that their privacy be honored as they grieve this unimaginable loss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeffery was born July 10, 1993 in Houston. She launched her acting  career at 12 and appeared in \u201cPhat Girlz,\u201d \u201ciCarly,\u201d \u201cMiss Guided,\u201d \u201cSouthland,\u201d \u201cCurb Your Enthusiasm,\u201d \u201cMen of a Certain Age,\u201d \u201cGood Luck Charlie\u201d and \u201cShake It Up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She was best known for her portrayal of the bubbly Seabrook High cheerleader Bree in Disney\u2019s \u201cZombies\u201d franchise. The actor starred in all three films and voiced the character in \u201cZombies: The Re-Animated Series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jeffery\u2019s cause of death was not immediately available. Representatives  did not immediately respond to The Times\u2019 request for comment. <\/p>\n<p>The actor <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@disneychannel\/video\/7120717776213314859?fbclid=IwY2xjawUFwdtwZG9mBWV4dG4DYWVtAjEwAGJyaWQRMUFURllEemVOQ214ZG1RT0ZzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEesxnfL_nVgwaDxXVbUK9uedjeEPb7ZHwsIN7D8vjx5a3HbYEYC1QqxV3qDSE_aem_4mOmmqdDZ03YdfwaJaNPbA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">spoken openly<\/a> about having epilepsy. She encouraged fans to discuss disabilities and said hers didn\u2019t hold her back from singing, acting and having fun.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffery spoke with the Epilepsy Foundation in 2022 and shared that she started having seizures at 18. \u201cWhen I first got into acting, I was not comfortable talking about my epilepsy,\u201d <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.epilepsy.com\/stories\/foundation-quarterly-fall-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jeffery told the foundation<\/a>. \u201cI was worried that I would have a seizure while reading lines or on set. I was even scared to tell my manager for fear that she wouldn\u2019t send me on any auditions. But, on the contrary, once I told her, she encouraged me to not let it hold me back. It helped me realize there was more to me than just my epilepsy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said that on the set of \u201cZombies,\u201d she suffered a seizure and woke up in an ambulance, which prompted her to come forward with the condition. \u201cI want everyone to know not to be scared of who you are,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019ve had this for years, and it\u2019s not going anywhere. I just have to work around it. I\u2019m going to keep doing what I love, and at the same time, use my story to help others. I want to be an inspiration. I want you to know that you can do what you want to do despite it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an August 2025 interview, Jeffery touched on what inspiring young Black girls meant to her.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cI want to cry because I guess I never thought I\u2019d see myself as somebody\u2019s inspiration,\u201d she <a class=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/1318354124693041\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cAnd then after [\u2018Zombies\u2019] came out, and they made the costumes for people, seeing the girls dressed up like Bree, I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh my gosh, they really talking about me,\u2019\u201d she said, adding that she realized her weight didn\u2019t matter. \u201cBut young Black girls looking up to you?
