Disturbing video shows the moment a 90-year-old woman had a piece of furniture thrown at her during an attack in Brooklyn, according to police.<\/p>\n
The victim was walking along Brighton Beach Avenue near Brighton 5th Street just before 10 a.m. on Monday when a stranger in a blue hooded sweatshirt hurriedly came closer to her from the other direction, video showed. <\/p>\n
The man then took a piece of furniture, which appeared to be a basket or bassinet full of garbage, and whipped it at the woman, police said. As a result of the impact, the woman fell to the ground.<\/p>\n
Others in the area came to check on the woman, who was later taken to NYC Health and Hospitals\/Coney Island, police said. She was said to be recovering.<\/p>\n
The man in the hoodie continued walking down the street in Brighton Beach, though it was not clear where he went. Police were still searching for the attacker.<\/p>\n
