{"id":1040733,"date":"2026-09-03T11:44:45","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T11:44:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1040733\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T11:44:45","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T11:44:45","slug":"houston-restaurant-agas-ranks-no-1-in-the-world-for-uber-eats-orders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/1040733\/","title":{"rendered":"Houston restaurant Aga\u2019s ranks No. 1 in the world for Uber Eats orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">A Houston restaurant is getting worldwide attention for something many Houstonians already know: people really love ordering from Aga\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The Indian-Pakistani restaurant has been named the No. 1 single-location restaurant in the world for Uber Eats orders, according to 2025 data from the delivery platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Aga\u2019s CEO Shaukat \u201cSal\u201d Maredia told the Houston Chronicle the restaurant has held the top spot for at least three years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The Sugar Land restaurant prepares about 2,000 to-go meals every day across delivery platforms and pickup, with takeout making up about 40% of its business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CXhM3E1WhQc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=CXhM3E1WhQc\">Business Insider<\/a> recently highlighted the restaurant\u2019s massive operation, showing what it takes to keep up with demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Aga\u2019s serves more than 4,000 customers a day and employs about 200 people, including nine chefs. The restaurant uses roughly 7,000 gallons of milk, 10,000 gallons of oil, and 30,000 pounds of chicken every month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s not a restaurant; it\u2019s a food factory,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/food-restaurants\/article\/agas-uber-eats-houston-22406045.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/food-restaurants\/article\/agas-uber-eats-houston-22406045.php\">Maredia told the Houston Chronicle.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The restaurant\u2019s takeout business grew significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, delivery drivers have regularly waited outside Aga\u2019s to pick up orders, with some drivers telling Maredia they primarily deliver for the restaurant because of the volume.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Aga\u2019s recently expanded its takeout operation with a to-go-only location in Katy. Maredia said that location is already handling about 700 orders a day, roughly twice what the restaurant initially projected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">The restaurant has become known for dishes including biryani, goat chops and chicken \u201clollipops.\u201d It was also named the No. 1 restaurant in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/food-restaurants\/article\/agas-uber-eats-houston-22406045.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.houstonchronicle.com\/food-restaurants\/article\/agas-uber-eats-houston-22406045.php\">Houston by the Houston Chronicle in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Maredia said he plans to open at least five more takeout locations in the Houston area before expanding to other Texas markets and eventually nationwide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">Despite the rapid growth, Maredia said the restaurant plans to maintain the quality of its food.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">\u201cIt\u2019s not an easy thing to do because our food is not fast food; it\u2019s gourmet.
