EXCEL Campus Activities is UTA\u2019s official student-led event programming board. <\/p>\n
The group provides educational, social, cultural and tradition-centered events on campus, according to the university website. <\/p>\n
Here are some EXCEL fall semester events to look out for.<\/p>\n
Game Show Night featuring Joseph Tran<\/strong><\/p>\n For those looking for a challenge, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Lone Star Auditorium in the Maverick Activities Center, Mavs have a chance to compete at Game Show Night for prizes with a special guest, magician Joseph Tran. Every round will bring new surprises to test attendees\u2019 memory, wits and even courage. <\/p>\n Maverick Fashion Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n See students flaunt creative designs at the Maverick Fashion Experience from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Lone Star Auditorium. Watch models strut their stuff in creative looks, some inspired by UTA\u2019s school spirit and ranging from streetwear to formal attire. <\/p>\n Picnic Palooza<\/strong><\/p>\n Everyone deserves a break, so enjoy one on campus from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 16 in the CAPPA Courtyard at Picnic Palooza. EXCEL invites Mavs to bring blankets, favorite snacks and friends. There will be music, crafts and bubbles. <\/p>\n Oktoberfest<\/strong><\/p>\n EXCEL is hosting a German fall festival from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 8 on the Central Library mall. There will be themed games, traditions and a social atmosphere as attendees immerse themselves in the cultural event. <\/p>\n Other events:<\/strong> <\/p>\n \u2022 Rollerskate Throwback, from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 25 at the MAC, Room 134.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Mavs, Camera, Action, from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 12 at the CAPPA Courtyard.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0Fright Night, from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 17 at the MAC, Room 133.<\/p>\n @gabby_jean13<\/p>\n
