It looks like Chelsea<\/a> might be looking to build a Dutch core at Stamford Bridge. They are believed to be close to signing Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Jorrel Hato from Ajax. Of course, both will go down as brilliant additions to Enzo Maresca’s side if things go according to plan. But it appears that the Blues have a third player from the Netherlands on their radar as well, and that move might be not be far away either.<\/p>\n

The other player in question is a striker. And it is one that Chelsea might not have a very difficult time agreeing a deal for, since he is already at their sister club.<\/p>\n

As reported by Sports Zone<\/a>, Emanuel Emegha and Chelsea are closing in on an agreement over personal terms for next summer. RB Leipzig are interested in the striker as well in the event that Benjamin Sesko moves.<\/p>\n

Of course, if it turns out to be a race to sign Emegha, it is not hard to understand which club between the two would be the favourite. But let’s see how things play out over the remaining weeks of this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Chelsea closing in on agreement to sign Dutch striker<\/p>\n

Emegha is coming off an excellent campaign. The 22-year-old scored 14 Ligue 1 goals alongside 3 assists in 27 appearances last season.<\/p>\n

That being said, the eye test suggests that there are still a lot of areas where he needs to work on. Emegha’s game still seems a bit unpolished and something that will need quite a bit of work to be successful in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The good news is that Chelsea seem to be preparing to sign him next summer, not this one.
