Anneli Maley is no longer a developmental player.<\/p>\n
After appearing in seven games, the Liberty signed the Australian forward to a deal, the team announced Thursday.<\/p>\n
The move puts the 28-year-old on a standard WNBA deal and removes the 12-game restriction attached to players on developmental contracts, a designation created under the league\u2019s new collective bargaining agreement.<\/p>\n
The move now allows Maley, who averaged just 9.1 minutes per game (seven appearances), to participate in playoff games for the postseason-bound Liberty.<\/p>\n
On the same day, the team brought in ex-Ole Miss standout Madison Scott on a developmental contract.<\/p>\n
The moves were announced after the team shared the news of Satou Sabally officially being out for the remainder of the WNBA season.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n Scott, who the Washington Mystics selected in the second round in the 2025 WNBA Draft, played five years at Ole Miss before declaring.<\/p>\n She averaged just 1.6 points in 5.2 minutes played in nine appearances with the Mystics last season.<\/p>\n Scott and Elizabath Balogun, who the Liberty signed last month, now fill the team\u2019s two developmental spots.<\/p>\n
