Last Saturday evening, Sarah McLachlan made a special appearance at Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s inaugural Daisy Chain Fields<\/a>, an all-female music and activist showcase that raised an impressive $20 million for pro-women nonprofit organizations. You may know the Canadian singer-songwriter for her trailblazing work founding Lilith Fair, Daisy Chain\u2019s predecessor, or soundtracking many weepy tortured-puppy ASPCA ads. But after this weekend, let us also honor her massive guns.<\/p>\n

McLachlan\u2019s ripped biceps were on full display as she performed her hits \u201cBuilding a Mystery\u201d and \u201cAngel\u201d \u2014 the latter of which she dedicated to the late Dolly Parton<\/a> \u2014 in a flowy pink sundress, Rodrigo singing beside her. They dazzled as she gripped her mic and strummed her guitar.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s be clear. These\u00a0are not Gabby George bridal arms. They are a deadlifter\u2019s arms. \u201cI don\u2019t need no damn man because I can open that Talenti pint myself\u201d arms. In the event of an emergency, McLachlan looks like she\u00a0could have fireman-carried the entire Daisy Chain lineup to safety.<\/p>\n

In a Rolling Stone interview<\/a> published Thursday, McLachlan\u00a0praised Rodrigo and Daisy Chain: \u201cWe need opportunities to celebrate, and to celebrate each other, and also to have these opportunities to lift up really important messages that we all believe in.\u201d Sarah, let us know what else we should be lifting.<\/p>\n
