The Edge 70 Plus’ main camera has 200 megapixels this time around, and it comes with a 10x Super Zoom, 4K video, and optical image stabilization. Motorola worked with Pantone on the phone’s colors again this year, so we have genuinely nice color options here: Mountain View, Gray Lilac, Milky Blue, and Sage. They’re all pretty.

The Edge 70 Plus has some pretty great specs, too, including a quad-curved 6.78-inch 144Hz Extreme AMOLED display that reportedly hits 5,200 nits at peak brightness. It’s got a 6,500mAh battery (42 hours of talk time, 32 hours of video, or 23 hours of social scrolling), 45W charging, and Gorilla Glass 7i. It comes packed with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. There’s 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and storage comes in either 128GB or 256GB. It also has two large stereo speakers and a Hi-Res-certified sound system, with Dolby Atmos support for immersive sound.

© Motorola

Google Gemini will run on the phone natively, with flagship Gemini features like Gemini Live and Circle to Search ready to go.

The Edge 70 Plus’ 200-megapixel camera is notable for Motorola’s existing lineup, but the new phone is dropping in a market already saturated with similar cameras. (The Galaxy S26 Ultra has a 200-megapixel camera, for example.) And as we know quite well now, raw pixel count isn’t everything: the processing power and sensor size on phones like the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Pixel 11 Pro often end up producing higher-quality photos, and those both capture far fewer pixels.

Pricing and availability for the Edge 70 Plus have yet to be announced. It’s difficult to say without trying the phone how it will stack up to other Android smartphones—and there are so many on the market now—but hey, at least it’s nice to look at.

Today, as part of IFA 2026, Motorola dropped the Edge 70 Plus, a new Android smartphone that prioritizes…

[17
2718,414887,611,30089,10740,158,67,132,68
post-1041940","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-mobile","tag-android","tag-ifa-2026","tag-mobile","tag-motorola","tag-smartphones","tag-technology","tag-united-states","tag-unitedstates","tag-us
["GET
