\n\tMiley, \u201cBass Persuades\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tDays after announcing her 10th studio album (and first on new label home Atlantic), Miley \u2014 yes, just Miley now \u2014 dropped its title track and lead single, \u201cBass Persuades.\u201d The synthy bass-bumping track is a hypnotic dance-pop song about how \u201cthe kids don\u2019t wanna dance\u201d while simultaneously showing them how it\u2019s done. Here, Miley is not only sharing wisdom like the icon she is (\u201cGlued your eyes to the telephone screen\u2026Just look out the window and what do you see?\u201d) but she\u2019s also subtly nodding to that icon status by referencing, well, herself with the line \u201cchaos is king,\u00a0but you know that you can\u2019t stop, won\u2019t stop.\u201d If a song this catchy (paired with a video that is arguably inspired by Michael Jackson\u2019s \u201cThriller\u201d dance sequence) doesn\u2019t make the kids wanna dance\u2026 well, then that\u2019s on them. \u2014 LYNDSEY HAVENS<\/p>\n

\n\tBeyonc\u00e9, \u201cCAN I WATCH YOU (feat. Pharrell)\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTo celebrate the 20th anniversary of her knockout second album, B\u2019Day, Beyonc\u00e9 treated fans to an expanded edition that includes previously-unreleased bonus tracks, and also tacks on \u201cMorning Dew (Donk)\u201d that she surprise dropped on July 4. Of the new material, features include Jay-Z on \u201cWelcome to Hollywood\u201d and Pharrell on \u201cCan I Watch You,\u201d plus Maluma, Selena and more on the Spanish-language additions. The latter is a sultry, R&B-infused indie-rock song on which the question posed in its title is repeatedly answered with a whispered \u201cyes.\u201d \u2014 L.H.<\/p>\n

\n\tAD\u00c9LA, PRIMA<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFast-rising pop artist AD\u00c9LA drops her debut album PRIMA, led by focus single \u201cNicole Kidman.\u201d The downtempo song opens with a beat that resembles \u201cBound 2\u201d by Ye, and it lingers in the background until the outro gives it some shine back. Previously-released singles include \u201cKGB,\u201d \u201cRed Bottoms\u201d and \u201cAin\u2019t In LA,\u201d which earned the Slovakia-born artist her first Billboard Hot 100 entry in August. \n\tMedium Build, \u201cIt\u2019s Not Easy (Falling In Love)\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOn his new album, King Of Having Fun, Medium Build digs deep for what is his sharpest album to date; He really had no choice, after hitting rock bottom following the release of his 2024 album Country. Now in a much better headspace, the artist tells Billboard his latest full-length was made \u201cafter getting all the dreams, realizing they don\u2019t satisfy, and then burning out, taking a break, getting sober, getting on meds, changing my life, deciding I do want to live, and I don\u2019t care if music is my life.\u201d\u00a0Turns out, caring less sounds really great. \u2014 L.H.<\/p>\n

\n\tEllie Goulding, \u201cFor You Entertainment\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor Your Entertainment\u201d is perhaps the song that best proves the title of Ellie Goulding\u2019s sixth album, I Know Too Much, to be true. Having released her debut single 17 years ago, Goulding has surely learned a lot over the years \u2014 and \u201cEntertainment\u201d is her own version of a song like Taylor Swift\u2019s \u201cMirrorball.\u201d While differently sonically, the two songs tread similar lyrical ground, pulling inspiration from the toll of performing. As Goulding sings with stark honesty: \u201cI\u2019ll be posing all and smiling\/ My eyes are like a waterfall, wh\u0435n you look away\/ Can you see how hard I\u2019m trying just to give it all?\u201d \u2014 L.H.<\/p>\n

\n\tMau P, \u201cJust A Little Bit More\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMau P\u2019s second track of 2026 is the slinky \u201cJust A Little Bit More.\u201d A staple of his sets over the last few months, the house production is essentially the Mau P take on \u201990s R&B, with the soulful vocals \u2014 crisply recorded and deployed \u2014\u00a0giving the song a throwback feel while the rest of the production keeps it fresh and festive. (The whistles!) \u201cJust A Little Bit More\u201d is out on Interscope Records and drops just ahead of the Dutch producer\u2019s set at ARC Music Festival in Chicago this weekend. \u2014\u00a0KATIE BAIN<\/p>\n

Amelie Lens,\u00a0Aura<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tA decade after her first official release, Amelie Lens releases her debut album,\u00a0Aura. The 13-track project contains the same kind of sharp, throttling and often quite cerebral techno that\u2019s made Lens one of the genre\u2019s leading names, with highlights including the previously release Ang\u00e8le collab \u201crun\u201d and the relentless \u201cthe energy is us.\u201d Lens calls\u00a0Aura\u00a0\u201ca moment I\u2019ve been waiting for my whole career,\u201d with the project landing before a set in her native Belgium this weekend and shows in Washington D.C., Denver and Los Angeles later this month. These shows precede another major project from Lens, with the artist due to give birth to her second child this winter. \u2014\u00a0K.B.<\/p>\n

\n\tMalie Donn, The Golden Child<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tMalie Donn\u2019s debut studio album is finally here. Billboard\u2019s Caribbean Up-And-Comer of the Month for August <\/a>first broke through with 2023\u2019s \u201cV6,\u201d and now he\u2019s dropped a sprawling 20-track set featuring contributions from fellow dancehall stars Byron Messia, Javo Donn, DJ Frass and Squash. From the inspirational, autobiographical title track to the sultry, aptly titled \u201cRated R,\u201d The Golden Child spans the gamut of all the different sounds and themes Malie Donn does best. \u2014 KYLE DENIS<\/p>\n

\n\tJohnny Venus, \u201cNightmares\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tJohnny Venus, one-half of Grammy-nominated rap duo EARTHGANG, has shared the latest preview of his forthcoming debut solo studio album. Co-produced by Courtlin Jabrae and Poplord, \u201cNightmares\u201d finds Venus delivering his signature disarming songwriting, zeroing in on the specific anxiety of dreading the loss of a cherished love. The 11th Hour can\u2019t come soon enough! \u2014 K.D.<\/p>\n

\n\tKenia Os & Xavi, \u201cMalas Ma\u00f1as\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an unexpected but very much-needed collaboration, Kenia Os and Xavi drop \u201cMalas Ma\u00f1as.\u201d Blending both musical worlds, the track fuses Xavi\u2019s melodious m\u00fasica mexicana requintos and Kenia\u2019s lush pop sound, before transitioning into a surprisingly-good merengue song. In \u201cMalas Ma\u00f1as,\u201d which translates to bad habits, both Mexican breakout stars sing about living life to the fullest, wild and carefree, without worry about what the haters think: \u201cme vale madre!\u201d (I don\u2019t give a damn) they repeatedly say in the song. \u2014 JESSICA ROIZ<\/p>\n

\n\tLow Clika, <\/strong>El Primer \u00c1lbum de Low Clika<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLow Clika\u2019s debut album turns m\u00fasica mexicana into a heart-on-sleeve space where longing, lust and softboy bravado coexist. Across 12 tracks, the six-member group bends its traditional foundations without making a show of the seams: \u201cWow,\u201d the project\u2019s focus track, captures the disorienting rush of being completely taken by a girl, while \u201cLa Triste\u201d pares heartbreak back to a piercing tololoche riff and wounded, near-wailing vocals. On \u201cJulieta,\u201d plucked strings with an almost Hawaiian lilt and bursts of brass cushion a midtempo Romeo-like promise; \u201cAsesina,\u201d featuring corridos-kawaii singer NXNNI, makes its explicit fantasies feel unexpectedly exposed and tender. Elsewhere, \u201cVud\u00fa\u201d brings accordion-led cumbia into contact with a brief Latin trap pulse, turning romantic fixation into the feeling of being spellboundl. \n\tBenjamin Tod, Country Is Dead<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tBenjamin Tod puts his own spin on several country classics on his new covers project, wrapping his warm, rustic vocal around songs from Jimmie Rodgers (\u201cWaiting For A Train\u201d), Keith Whitley (\u201cTurn This Thing Around\u201d) and George Jones (\u201cColor Of The Blues\u201d). Accompanied by slabs of steel guitar, fiddles and piano throughout, Tod eschews overly-polished approaches, instead infusing the songs with his own brand of lived-in, authentic connection. \u2014 JESSICA NICHOLSON <\/p>\n

\n\tRandy Travis, \u201cSame Old Way\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tIn November, the Country Music Hall of Famer will release a new album, Same Old Way, filled with previously unreleased \u201cfrom the vault\u201d songs he recorded prior to suffering a stroke in 2013. Spanning sessions recorded between 1986 and 2013, the collection is led by the title track, a sultry blues-country number. Velvety instrumentation and a sensual groove provide a warm foil for his unmistakable voice, creating a nostalgic, must-hear song for fans of classic country. \u2014 J.N.<\/p>\n
