Since then, the event, hosted by the Gaslamp Quarter Association, has become a cherished annual tradition that celebrates the neighborhoods restaurants, local businesses and vibrant community.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, Taste of Gaslamp returns to commemorate its 30th\u00a0anniversary, honoring its legacy while showcasing the exciting restaurants and renewed energy shaping the next chapter of the Gaslamp Quarter. Guests will enjoy a self-guided tasting experience featuring signature bites from more than 20 participating restaurants spanning 16 city blocks. Participating restaurants include 5 o&#8217;clock Somewhere, Baja Rick&#8217;s, Cafe Sevilla, Sugar Bears Sweet Provisions, The Field Irish Pub, The Melting Pot, Wild Hare Bar Garden and Witherby, with additional participating restaurants to be announced. From fresh seafood and premium steaks to globally inspired flavors, attendees will discover why the Gaslamp Quarter remains one of San Diego&#8217;s premier dining destinations.<\/p>\n<p>Celebrating 30 years of Taste of Gaslamp is a testament to the incredible restaurants, chefs and community partners who have made this event a very special tradition for locals and visitors alike, said Alma Ascencio, Digital Marketing Manager of the Gaslamp Quarter Association. As the neighborhood continues to evolve with exciting new dining experiences, were proud to honor our history while inviting everyone to experience what&#8217;s next for the Gaslamp Quarter.<\/p>\n<p>To kick off the celebration, guests are invited to gather at a special pre-party hosted at a participating Gaslamp Quarter restaurant from 12 to 3 p.m. before embarking on their self-guided culinary tour, setting the stage for an afternoon of exceptional food, community and exploration.
