Theft of property and criminal mischief<\/strong> <\/p>\nOn Aug. 27, a student reported that the catalytic converter was stolen from his parked vehicle at the Centennial Court apartments, UTA Police Capt. Dean Peterson said. There are no suspects. <\/p>\n
Theft of property in which the stolen property is less than $30,000 and is a stolen catalytic converter is a state jail felony punishable by between 180 days and two years in jail. A fine not exceeding $10,000 may also be imposed. <\/p>\n
Criminal mischief with a pecuniary loss between $750 and $2,500 is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000, confinement in jail for up to one year or both. <\/p>\n
Offensive physical contact against a family member<\/strong> <\/p>\nOn Aug. 30, following a domestic violence investigation, a nonaffiliate was arrested for assaulting her nonaffiliate husband at the Park Central garage, Peterson said. She was also arrested for an unrelated warrant. <\/p>\n
The nonaffiliate was transported to Arlington Police Department jail. <\/p>\n
Offensive physical contact against a family member is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500. <\/p>\n

Criminal trespass at an institute of higher education with a previous conviction<\/strong> <\/p>\nOn Aug. 29, a nonaffiliate was arrested for criminal trespass at the Park North garage, Peterson said. The charge was enhanced due to the nonaffiliate having a previous conviction for criminal trespass at an institute of higher education. <\/p>\n
The nonaffiliate was transported to the Arlington Police Department jail. <\/p>\n
Criminal trespass at an institute of higher education in which the offender has been previously convicted is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $4,000, up to one year in jail or both. <\/p>\n
Possession of alcohol by minor<\/strong> <\/p>\nOn Aug. 31, a student was issued a citation for possession of alcohol by a minor at KC Hall, Peterson said. <\/p>\n
Possession of alcohol by a minor is a class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500. <\/p>\n
Duty on striking an unattended vehicle<\/strong> <\/p>\nOn Aug. 26, a student reported that his parked vehicle was struck in the University Village apartments parking lot, and no one left the required information, Peterson said. A student was identified as the suspect, and both parties agreed to exchange information. <\/p>\n
Duty on striking an unattended vehicle is a class C misdemeanor if the damage to all vehicles involved is less than $200. It is a class B misdemeanor if the damage to all vehicles involved is $200 or more. <\/p>\n
A class C misdemeanor is punishable by a fine not to exceed $500. A class B misdemeanor is punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both. <\/p>\n
