On the Dubs Talk podcast (<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3JqY4O26TS4&amp;t=1810s\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">YouTube link<\/a>), Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area said there\u2019s still a level of concern about that ailment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s at least some lingering concern about the knee,\u201d Poole said. \u201cFrom what I\u2019ve been told, it can be managed, but it has to be managed and that\u2019s a new thing for Steph. People always say he is the most conditioned guy in the league, and now he has to manage a knee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI guess we\u2019ll find out, but from what I understand, he and his trainers have devised ways to kind of work around that and sort of support that whole possibility of the knee not being as great as he wants it to be. So, I\u2019m curious to see how it turns out, but Steph seems pretty confident that he\u2019ll be able to go out there and put out 70-plus games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Curry, 38, recently became extension-eligible. While the two-time MVP reiterated his commitment to the only NBA team he\u2019s ever known, he suggested a new deal may not be imminent, telling NBC Sports Bay Area, \u201c<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2026\/08\/steph-curry-on-extension-well-figure-that-out-at-the-right-time.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">we\u2019ll figure that out at the right time<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s more on the Warriors:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"longlis\">\n<li>Head coach <strong>Steve Kerr<\/strong> on Thursday declined to answer what a \u201csatisfactory\u201d season would look like for Golden State, according to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/steve-kerr-optimistic-projections-upcoming-season\/1960755\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area<\/a>, but he expressed optimism about the 2026\/27 campaign. \u201cIf we can really lock in on a great process, which I\u2019m very confident we will, we can get off to a good start and build some momentum,\u201d Kerr said. \u201cThat\u2019s my main goal. To just kind of rebuild everything, get back to our roots and have a great camp, and see where it all takes us. But I\u2019m very confident we can have a great year.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Kerr told Poole that the Warriors are high on No. 11 overall pick <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/l\/lendeya01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-04_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Yaxel Lendeborg<\/a><\/strong> and suggested the rookie forward is in the conversation for a spot in the starting lineup ahead of training camp later this month. \u201cWe\u2019ve added some good players with Yaxel, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/n\/niangge01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-04_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Georges Niang<\/a><\/strong>, and believe <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/w\/willibr03.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-04_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Brandon Williams<\/a><\/strong> can help us,\u201d Kerr said. \u201cOur young guys obviously had a great summer, winning Summer League and really putting in a lot of work. The biggest things are figuring out who\u2019s going to start, and what\u2019s the rotation going to look like? Can Yaxel play the 3 with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/g\/greendr01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-04_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Draymond (Green)<\/a><\/strong> at the 4, with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/p\/porzikr01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-04_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kristaps (Porzingis)<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/h\/horfoal01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-04_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Al (Horford)<\/a><\/strong> at the 5? We\u2019ll have a lot of time to determine that.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Green took issue with some of the recent comments from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/k\/kuminjo01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-09-04_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Jonathan Kuminga<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s agent, <strong>Aaron Turner<\/strong>, relays <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsportsbayarea.com\/nba\/golden-state-warriors\/draymond-jonathan-kuminga-agent-aaron-turner\/1960358\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Nick Avila of NBC Sports Bay Area<\/a>. Turner has given multiple interviews of late where he\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hoopsrumors.com\/2026\/09\/kumingas-agent-continues-to-defend-handling-of-free-agency.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">defended<\/a> his handling of Kuminga\u2019s free agency and the decision to decline a three-year, $75MM contract offer last year from the Warriors that included a third-year team option, instead accepting a two-year, $46.8MM deal with a second-year team option. Kuminga finalized a two-year, $12.4MM contract with Minnesota on Thursday. \u201cYou trying to get the people off your back,\u201d Green <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GSyYd6771E8\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">said on his podcast<\/a>. \u201cYou do that by going and get great deals. Just go do that. Put the focus on that. Go and get a great deal. Not fighting off because you\u2019re fighting this off so that the next potential clients see it and you\u2019re explaining it. This ain\u2019t really about JK. It\u2019s about the next potential client. That\u2019s the problem in this is you ain\u2019t explaining that for JK\u2019s sake. \u2026 That ain\u2019t cool at all. That\u2019s very self-serving. Let me look out for myself for my next client so he know what happened.
