So sports fans on the prowl are spending anywhere\u00a0between $23 and $739\u00a0<\/a>for admission into the three-week championship series, happening now through September 13, where hotties and hobbyists abound.<\/p>\n

Local lover girls, like Dee Vel-Baque, 33, kicked their\u00a0searches for significant others\u00a0<\/a>into high gear at the 2026 FIFA World Cup games this summer. And city sweeties Danielle Kuchinskas and Alex Frawley\u00a0punctuated their love story<\/a>\u00a0as NBA baller Jalen Brunson led the Knicks to a historic victory in June.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019ll be great to meet someone when I go to a match next week. Sports are a great way to meet people, especially as a girl,\u201d the 5-foot-10 brunette, a product manager, told The Post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While the lifelong tennis enthusiast plans to have her head in the game as the professional athletes duke it out, she\u2019ll have her eye on the crowd, scoping the scene for a tall, dark and handsome hunk who shares her passion for the pastime.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTo find someone attractive, kind and funny that also loves watching and playing tennis would be amazing,\u201d said Rosello, who\u2019s open to meeting Mr. Right on platforms such as Hinge and Raya, but optimistic for an in-person meet-cute.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can watch and play tennis together. One of my dreams is to go to Wimbledon and the French Open,\u201d she gushed. \u201cIt\u2019d be so fun to travel with someone that is also interested in that. Having a common interest is super important.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sharing a love of sports, specifically tennis, isn\u2019t just super important in today\u2019s dating world. It\u2019s also a major thread that\u2019s stitching lonely hearts together, per surprising new data.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Researchers for Feeld<\/a>, a dating app for open-minded individuals, recently determined that tennis buffs generate roughly 45% more meaningful connections than fans of other major sports.\u00a0<\/p>\n

More titillating, the findings also revealed higher rates in kink-forward desires, such as role play, edging, exploration and domination, in rascals with a fondness for the rackets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But Justin Lehmiller, a social psychologist<\/a> and Kinsey Institute fellow, assured The Post that tennis isn\u2019t some tawdry aphrodisiac.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Instead, it\u2019s an intellectual stimulant that keeps sharp-wits on their toes \u2014 and, if they\u2019re lucky and consenting, their backs.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTennis, itself, isn\u2019t necessarily making people kinkier\u2026[but] those who are interested in tennis over-index on intellectual games like backgammon and chess,\u201d explained Lehmiller, an Intimacy Advisor at Feeld, noting statistics from the study.<\/p>\n

Lehmiller tells The Post, \u201cWhen you have a shared love of sports, that can make it a lot easier to form connections with like-

\u201cThat suggests that we might be looking at a group of people who are particularly drawn to mental stimulation, strategy and maybe even a little friendly competition,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen you\u2019re really into a given sport, that tends to create a lot of emotion and excitement.\u201c<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re watching that sport with someone else who has that same level of engagement, it can lead to an intense and memorable experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Katie, a confidence coach based in Chelsea, agrees.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s such beauty in meeting [a potential partner] out in the wild, especially at an event like The Open. People are like showing up, they\u2019re looking cute, excited, drinking a Honey Deuce \u2014 it makes people more open to connecting,\u201d said Katie, who\u2019s currently off-the-market, but always on the lookout for her unattached pals.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She even spotted a suitable suitor for her best friend during Wednesday\u2019s daytime sessions, when the likes of Jessica Pegula, Ben Shelton and Daniil Medvedev each secured victories.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Katie wasn\u2019t able to close a deal on the romantic match.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI saw a lot of groups of guys letting loose and having fun,\u201d she said. \u201cBut the guy that would have been great for my friend wasn\u2019t single.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

But the wannabe Cupid isn\u2019t giving up hope.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, people are craving that like in-real-life excitement that comes with making face-to-face connections,\u201d said Katie. \u201cAnd what better place to chat, laugh and high-five over something cool, like Ben Shelton winning, than the US Open?\u201d<\/p>\n
