(Copyright 2026 by KSAT &#8211; All rights reserved.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\"><strong>SAN ANTONIO<\/strong> \u2013 A 19-year-old man was detained after a woman was injured in a shooting on the South Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">An SAPD preliminary report states that upon arrival, officers found the 35-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to her lower body. The woman was taken to a local hospital. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Police said the woman described the alleged shooter to officers she saw a man enter a nearby location. <\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">Shortly after, the report states the man walked toward officers at the scene and was detained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"sc-dLMFU sc-fHjqPf jbiTJv kYFPaL article-text\">The man confessed to shooting the woman, SAPD said.
