Douglas Anthony \u201cDoug\u201d Morrison passed away in his hometown on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at the age of 72. A graveside service honoring Doug\u2019s life will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, at Mount Olivet Chapel. Born June 13, 1954, in Fort Worth, to Clarence Charles and Willie Jo McClanahan Morrison, Doug never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He was generous by nature and was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Doug worked for many years as a land surveyor in the construction industry. A good ole\u2019 country boy at heart, he enjoyed the simple things in life like reading a good book, happily watching almost any sport, and always held a special place in his heart for animals. He was preceded in death by his parents. Doug is survived by his sons Keith Morrison and his wife, Amanda, and Kyle Morrison; brothers, David Morrison and Jeff Morrison and his wife, Kelley. He was also a grandfather to Chase Morrison, Adleigh Morrison, Erik Morrison, Kinsley Morrison, and Landry Morrison and adored his numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He will be remembered for his kind heart, easygoing nature, and the love he had for his family, and will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him.
