younger generation is unwilling \u2013 or unable \u2013 to keep the family business going, let alone allow it to thrive.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">The private sector, the backbone of China\u2019s economy and employment, is now facing a growing succession crisis \u2013 one which may see businesses wind down or fold, observers warn, as family matters threaten to send broader tremors throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">In regions like China\u2019s eastern Zhejiang province, a major economic centre, questions over inheritance are becoming more pressing.<\/p>\n<p datatype=\"p\" data-qa=\"Component-Component\" class=\"e8zc9q40 css-1c6uqr6 ec74h0k1\">\u201cI cannot \u2013 and probably should not \u2013 take over from my father,\u201d said Li Fante, whose family\u2019s factory, like many other businesses in Zhejiang\u2019s
