The buyers, sources said, are Chinese investors.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s less than half of the home\u2019s original\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/29\/famed-israeli-violinist-itzhak-perlman-lists-18m-nyc-home\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">$17.5 million asking price in 2022.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Perlman has long been known as one of the greatest violinists in history. The listing\u00a0was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/09\/04\/real-estate\/legendary-violinist-itzhak-perlman-lists-nyc-home-for-11-9m\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">last asking $11.9 million.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Itzhak Perlman, an Israeli-American who won 16 Grammy Awards and four Emmy awards, along with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, is known for his brilliant breadth of work, which includes performing the haunting solo violin passages in the Oscar-winning score for \u201cSchindler\u2019s List.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When you are one of the world\u2019s greatest musicians, a concert grand piano is key.
