Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the interview, Cain told Variety: \u201cAny guy who tells you he feels bad being objectified, I mean, really? Come on. It\u2019s a wonderful compliment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The father of one \u2014\u00a0who has <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/10\/entertainment\/former-superman-dean-cain-slams-new-superman-as-woke-hollywood\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">criticized James Gunn\u2019s new \u201cSuperman\u201d film <\/a>starring David Corenswet \u2014\u00a0reflected on the costume he had to wear to play the Man of the Steel.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Cain kisses Teri Hatcher in \u201cLois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.\u201d \u00a9Warner Bros\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen they first brought it to me, it was this royal blue spandex bodysuit,\u201d he told Variety. \u201cWe ended up putting in stirrups so that it stayed in place. And the boots were a whole lace-up thing at first. We worked on it as time went on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember it being 110 in Burbank. In the Superman suit, you can\u2019t sweat. If you sweat, it balls up. So I didn\u2019t,\u201d Cain continued. \u201cI\u2019m a Japanese dude. I don\u2019t sweat that much. I\u2019m not hairy at all. They didn\u2019t have to shave my chest or anything. But still \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dean Cain as Clark Kent\/Superman. \u00a9Warner Bros\/Courtesy Everett Collection<\/p>\n<p>Cain also recalled that flying in the suit was brutal because the wires cut off circulation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no blood flow going to your legs,\u201d he noted. \u201cAfter hanging for hours, I would have to get a massage just to keep the blood moving from quadrant to quadrant. Teri would cry. That\u2019s why I haven\u2019t done a series since. It feels like suffocating. There\u2019s no possible way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I should have sued,\u201d he stated. \u201cGeorge Clooney did it. He sued on \u2018ER\u2019 and got a big payout for his participation.
