Defined by curved lines and sharp geometric forms, the space brings together Carrara marble, Macassar ebony wood, stainless steel, and nude-toned leather. A work by Chinese artist Guan Xiao anchors the boutique, connecting Alaïa’s interest in form and construction with contemporary artistic practice. The storefront incorporates circular geometric elements that reinterpret Alaïa’s perforated motif, while a central glass frontage opens the boutique toward the mall.

all images courtesy of Alaïa

MATERIAL CONTRASTS DEFINE THE Plaza 66 boutique

Inside, organic curves meet more rigid geometries, reflecting the tension between fluidity and structure that also runs through the house’s approach to clothing. Black and white surfaces establish the overall atmosphere, while Carrara marble, Macassar ebony wood, and stainless steel introduce contrasting textures and finishes. Nude-toned leather softens the entrance and fitting rooms, bringing warmth to an otherwise monochrome environment.
